Missouri State's Speech and Theatre Education Major
Although the Speech and Theatre Education major and the Holt V. Spicer debate forum are separate programs, the debate program enthusiastically supports the major. We recognize the importance of developing future coaching talent, and encourage high school competitors to consider whether a career as a high school forensics coach would suit them.
The program combines Speech and Theatre based on the certification process in Missouri, although school districts with larger programs often allow have separate positions for theatre teachers and debate/forensics coaches.
