Spike's Birthday Party 2018

Spike's Birthday!

The Holt V. Spicer Debate Forum is excited to announce we are planning a party! Holt V. Spicer (Spike) turns 90 in Feburary, 2018 and we are hosting a birthday party for Spike on April 15th (with another gathering on the evening of the 14th). These events will both be downtown at the Hotel Vandivort in Springfield, MO (417-832-1515). If you want to reserve a room at the Hotel Vandivort, please mention the MSU College of Arts & Letters to secure the $129 (plus tax) rate.

The main event: Sunday, April 15th (5:30pm) - Meal and Speeches

The pre-gathering: Saturday, April 14th (7pm) - Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments

We will be emailing and sending invitations to debate alumni, but the event is open to any friends of Spike, whether from debate or otherwise.  Please RSVP online, or by calling 417-836-4423 (MSU Department of Communication). You can register online until March 1, 2018

There is no fee to attend, but donations to offset the cost are always appreciated. You can make a tax deductible donation to the Black Fund from this link. If you have feedback about this event or future events, please email Dr. Eric Morris.

If you cannot attend, but want to share some remarks, please email Dr. Eric Morris. Also, if you would like to send a card to be delivered at the event, you can mail it to Holt V. Spicer c/o MSU Communication Department (Craig 375), 901 S National Ave, Springfield, MO 65897.
